Thousands of people protest against Rizvi’s detainment

On Friday (Nov 30, 2018) thousands of people protested against the detainment of TLP’s chief Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi. Peaceful protests were observed all over the country right after Jummah prayer. According to some reports, however, law enforcement agencies used force to disperse these peaceful protesters in many cities. A large number of citizens participated in the protests in spite of TLP’s all social media accounts blockage and detainment of TLP chiefs Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi and Peer Muhammad Afzal Qadri along with more than 25K wokers. Remeber that, aforementioned were detained under MPO last week. Detentions were done by Pakistani government allegedly for acquitting blasphemous Christian woman Asia maloona (one who is cursed). These detentions were criticized by all religious circles. Additionally, LEAs were used brutally against protesters protesting against detentions. And each voice in favor of detainees was suppressed by government. Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman, chairman moon-sighting committee (an official body) of Pakistan, were also house arrested after his comments in detainee’s favor. However, EU and anti-Islamic terrorists commended the government’s action.
